Telecom Construction Manager
The Construction Manager serves as site specific construction expert to achieve the objectives established by the program management plan, the program contract, the client, and regulatory agencies. The Construction Manager is responsible for the oversight and delivery of cellular sites as part of 5G wireless network build out.
This position is responsible for the safety, quality, financial, production, schedule, vendor management/invoice approval, crew management/timesheet approval, site expectation setting, Close Out Packages (COPs) per market project timeline requirements.
This role is tasked with work planning, supervision and management of construction partners for assigned sites as well as accountable for managing the overall field performance including scope, cost, safety, quality, schedule, and commissioning.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Documentation:
Read and interpret construction drawings, RFDS documents to create scope of work and bill of material.
Perform pre construction site walks, identify gaps with construction drawings and RFDS to clarify scope
Prepare and maintain job schedule and costs for labor and material.
Coordinate with internal and external team (example: Internal accounting team, externally country and city departments for permits etc.)
Prepare MOPs and conduct MOP review with customer approvals
Review and ensure SOVs (Schedule of Values) and BOMs (Bill of Materials) are up to date and submit for true-up with customer.
Schedule and coordinate with teams pertaining to scope of work, material ordering, working with sub-contractors.
Send email communications to customers, clarify scope of work with customers via phone calls and in person meeting
Prepare close out packages as per customer requirements
Maintain Job Site Binders, JSAs, emergency action plans, and material and tool lists
Prepare and submit red lined construction drawings and rfds documents upon job completion
Assign job duties to the team as per scope of work, assign material and tools for the crew
Conduct daily safety and job- related meetings, prepare end of day reports
Identify gaps and delays on jobs, take necessary steps to keep jobs on track
Lead crew by example while teaching skills and methods to crew
Maintain quality control of tools, vehicles and materials needed for the job
Ensure forecasted time lines and cost estimates are met
Review and approve crew time sheets, per job performance reviews
Accountable for all job site safety related items such as safety plans, fall protection plans, EMF/RF protection
Ensure all crew members adhere to all company and customer safety policies
Active role in hiring new crew members, firing of non- performing crew members
Pickup and deliver materials to jobsite as needed
Manage multiple job sites and actively participate in hands on work at a job site when needed

Valid Current Driver’s License with no more than two points in violations in last three years (required)
OSHA-30 Construction (required, company will train suitable candidate)
CPR/First Aid (required, company will train suitable candidate)
Fall Protection (required, company will train suitable candidate)
RF Awareness (required, company will train suitable candidate)
Tower Climb (preferred, company will train suitable candidate)
Knowledge of Verizon, ATT and TMO, American Tower, Crown Castle shelter and tower access procedures, layout of various equipment inside and outside shelter
Experienced in Installation and Decommission of Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung Radio Equipment
Strong knowledge of Radio technology and terms such as sectoring (alpha, beta, gamma), use of diplexers, tower mounted amplifiers, various bands such as LTE, PCS, AWS, and CDMA
Ability to successfully crimp all types of coax connectors such as DIN, 4.3/10 type connectors
Experienced in installation of two post racks, H-Frames, Unistrut, ladder racks, fiber trays
Strong understanding of DC power plant and battery wiring inside a shelter
Excellent lacing skills
